Balvenie Signature Batch 1 released in 2007, as replacement for the popular 10-year old expression Founders Reserve . Recently discontinued, a total of just 5 batches of this 12-year old Balvenie where released. Matured in three wood types; Sherry, first fill Bourbon and refill casks, this is a flavourful dram.
Nose: Orange, citrusy, very fresh and light
Palate: honey, malt, more citrus and orange
Finish: a lot of honey. Very pleasantly satisfying. drives you for another sip! Feels like summer.
