Description
This release from Bruichladdich's Octomore range is claimed to be the most heavily peated whisky in the world, 'Comus' has been matured in the finest oak possible, impregnated with the greatest sweet wine known to man; an unlikely combination – an excess? Or a divine, etheral, otherworldly experience. Reserve Cuvee cask maturation.
Nose: Peat, smoke and leather. Notes of sweet caramel and nutty oak. Candied fruits, pineapples, pears and syrup.
Palate: Sweet, sweet sherry. Followed by a rich and smoky oak, definite presence of peat.
Finish: Short but strong.
