The Orcadian is a 16 year old from Orkney's Scapa was relaunched in 2008, but sadly, now discontinued, even after winning World Whiskies Awards 2012 - Best Island 13 to 20 years - what a shame. Still a few bottles left. Nose: Thick and rich and notes of honeycomb and toffee. Dried peels and marmalade and malt. Palate: Full of body with heather and grass, oak and winter spices and honey. Finish: Long and developing with notes of dry oak and a gentle smoke.
