A well sherried single malt from the Old Particular Speyside distillery, nestled within the Cairngorm Mountains. Originally a barley mill and croft, dating back to the 1700s, it sadly closed down in 1965. Over the next 25 years, it was slowly and lovingly converted into a single malt distillery which started producing spirit in 1990. Drawing water from the Spey River, the malt is highly regarded as being amongst the smoothest and most approachable of all from the Speyside region. This expression, distilled in September 1996 and bottled in September 2017 has an ABV of 51.5% and matured in a refill sherry butt for 21 years.Nose: Dark chocolate and sherried cake. A touch of earthiness with barley and autumnal fruits.
