Jack Daniels 150th Anniversary in gift box Whisky

Description

A celebratory bottling of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whisky, produced in commemoration of the distillery's 150th anniversary. Jack Daniel's is a brand of sour mash Tennessee whiskey that is the highest selling American whiskey in the world. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee by the Jack Daniel's Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation since 1956. Despite being the location of a major operational distillery, Jack Daniel's home county of Moore is a dry county, so the product is not available for consumption at stores or restaurants there. This 2016 release commemorates its 150th anniversary. Made to the same recipe as the original No. 7, but at a higher strength. With deep orange amber colour and nose it has a balanced caramel, vanilla and toasted oak taste. A medium bodied whisky with creamy clean finish. This special whisky is presented in a black cardboard gift box.   Nose: Strong vanilla and caramel are balanced by fruity apricot, cherry, and orange. There’s a solid underpinning of leather. Palate: More vanilla opens the palate, along with maple syrup and some baking spice. The palate isn’t cloying by any means, counterweighted by substantial oak and more leather.  Finish:  Mouthfeel it’s note-perfect, tannic but not drying.
