Founded In 1876 by John Duff. Glenlossie distillery is located in Speyside, the northeastern part of Scotland, a region renowned for its whisky production.
It has been under the ownership of several companies over the years, currently owned by Diageo, a major player in the spirits industry.
Glenlossie is often used in blends, notably in the Johnnie Walker range, and does not have a large number of official bottlings. However, independent bottlings of Glenlossie whisky are available, often bottled by companies like Signatory Vintage. Whiskies from Glenlossie tend to have a light and fruity character, often with floral, honeyed, and citrus notes, as well as a soft maltiness. The distillery's whiskies are generally well-regarded for their smoothness and balance, making them versatile for both new whisky drinkers and seasoned connoisseurs. While Glenlossie doesn't have as much of a public profile as some of the larger distilleries, its whiskies—especially in independent bottlings—have garnered a cult following for their quality and elegance.
