Founded in 1898 by Arthur Dewar, the founder of the Dewar's blended whisky brand.
The distillery was established to provide a distinctive single malt that could be used in Dewar’s blended whiskies. Over time, the single malts produced at Aberfeldy have gained recognition in their own right.
The distillery was initially built with a strong focus on producing high-quality whisky for blending, but today it is renowned for producing exceptional single malts as well.
