About This Whisky

This 22 year old limited release from Speyside distillers BenRiach was originally matured in American Bourbon barrels, then transferred to Jamaican Dark Rum casks to be finished.  A dram of exceptionally high quality.    Nose: A highly sweet nose, notes of spices typical of a rum cask, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Palate: Warm and fruity, stewed apples and figs. Sweet sugar and rich cocoa, balanced once again with the spice; cinnamon and black pepper. Finish: Medium-long spicy cloves and umbers.
