Description
The second release of 21 year old single malt from Littlemill, a Lowland distillery with a long history. It was founded in 1772, but it was sadly closed in the early 1990s and demolished in the 2000s. A lovely presentation of whisky from the departed distillery, this time bottled at 47% ABV (the previous 21 year old from the distillery was bottled at 46%). 4,600 bottles were produced - sadly not too much left from Littlemill. Nose: honeyed and silky with lots of cream; fresh fruits ranging from apples and pears to honeydew melon and more exotic tropical fruits; vanilla and chocolate sauce drizzled over berry fruits; floral with soft oak and crushed mint leaf. Palate: Fresh cream, more vanilla-white chocolate and floral top notes; crushed mint leaves and toasty oak with malt and emerging fruits: Finish: Long coating and creamy this is a very fine and delicate older-American oak matured whisky.
