Glengoyne 17 Year Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky was awarded Double Gold in 2003 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This fine single malt was named "Best of the Best" in the Highland Malt Whisky category by Whisky Magazine in 2001. Before that, Glengoyne 17 Years Old was awarded the Gold Medal by Scotland's Master Blenders in the prestigious International Spirits Challenge 1999 and won it again in 2005. This is a multi-award winning dram. One of the greats and possibly the best pound for pound single malt on the market. Nose: Some sherry, Christmas pudding. Plenty of fruit - raisins, ripe apples and tinned oranges in syrup. Palate: Rich, mouth-coating. Initially tasting of treacle, slightly nutty. Hints of Orange peel with underlying rich oaky flavour. Finish: Long and rich, with spicy oak.
