Jura 22 Years Old - One for the Road Whisky

A limited edition bottling from the Isle of Jura distillery, released to mark the retirement of their Distillery Manager Willie Cochrane.  22 year old single malt, finished in Pinot Noir casks, mahogany honeyed gold in colour, a nose of walnut, pineapple and vanilla, followed by black bitter chocolate and java coffee, tastes of ginger, caramelised peaches, cherry cake and muscovado. A nice limited edition, exclusive small batch release from Jura.   Nose: Freshly baked bread, moist walnut cake, over-ripe pineapple and vanilla. A whisper of black bitter chocolate, Java coffee and tangy macaroons to finish. Palate: Ginger, cassis and caramelised peaches. Glazed nectarines, pears in red wine and soft cranberries. Finish: A finale of Turkish delight, fig syrup and cherry cake.
