This 11 year old Laphroaig is an exclusive to Amsterdam airport. The whisky inside is re aged in a real mixture of barrels - ex bourbon, Quarter casks and Oloroso Sherry butts before bottling. A good balance of peatiness and balanced sherry! Nose: Iodine, orchard fruits, peat and hint of leather.Palate: Smoked bacon, vanilla, havana cigars, caramel, citrus fruits, tar and peat smoke.Finish: Long and fruity with lots of bonfire smoke.
