About This Whisky

Glenallachie 21-Year-Old Batch 2 was Released in November 2020 as a great new addition to the Glenallachie range. This has been carefully aged in five Pedro Ximénez (PX) Puncheons and Hogshead casks. Dating back to 1997, 1998 and 1999; each hand-picked by renowned Master Distiller and Whiskey Magazine Hall of Fame inductee, Walker who this year celebrates reaching half a century in the Scotch Whisky industry. With a very limited release of only 1,600 bottles available worldwide, this whisky has been issued on limited allocation and is substantially oversubscribed by global distributors.   

About Glenallachie

Glenallachie Distillery

In 1968 the distillery began its first production run. Glenallchie was the fourth distillery designed by William Delm-Evans and built by MacKinlay and McPherson (the distilling arm of Scottish and Newcastle ltd). It was designed to be almost entirely gravity-fed to run on reduced energy. In 2017 Billy Walker along with his business partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to acquire the distillery from Chivas brothers, bringing with them their industry expertise. In 2018 their first core range of single malts were launched, this marked the first-ever range of single malts to be released by the speyside distillery. In 2021 their master distiller Billy Walker was introduced into the Whisky's Magazine Prestigious Hall of Fame as he's made a lasting contribution to the world of whisky. In the same year, they also won the world's best single malt title at the World Whiskies Awards.
