Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Caoran Reserve Single Malt Whisky

The name for Glenfiddich's Caoran derives from the Gaelic for 'Peat Ember', reflecting the special character of this single malt.Its inspiration comes from times past and the pioneering ways of the Glenfiddich malt men who in the days of coal shortages used greater amounts of peat to dry the malted barley.The resulting earthy smokiness perfectly compliments the fruit notes so characteristic of Glenfiddich Single Malt.Glenfiddich Caoran Reserve was awarded gold medals in 2005 and 2006.Distilled and Matured at Glenfiddich Distillery, Speyside, Scotland.   Nose:  all the typical Glenfiddich aromas with a subtle smokiness. Taste: The taste is spicy and develops into a combination of sweet fruit with distinctive peaty notes. Finish: A smooth and lingering finish.
