This 12 year old Gran Reserva whisky by Macallan was bottled at an ABV of 45.6%. Macallan is perhaps the most critically-acclaimed distillery ever, both as a longtime favorite of blenders in search of top notes and more recently as a standout in the increasingly competitive market for single malts.   

Nose: Dry but robust, fragrances of orchard fruits and herbal teas with an underlying sweetness

Palate: Flowery notes coming through, infusions of dried berries and sultana. A full bodied, oily and rich sherry.

Finish: Long and powerful, just what youd expect with a strong Macallan.
