About This Whisky

North Star 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt with plenty of intrigue given its undisclosed origin and limited availability of 232 bottles. Matured for 15 years using Sherry Hogsheads, distilled in July 2009, bottled in June 2025 at a robust ABV of 50.3%. This bottling delivers a bold, unconventional Speyside experience. The “funky” nose breaks from the usual floral or honeyed aromas typical of the region, while the palate leans into darker fruit and rich sweetness. The finish, intriguingly described, implies a dram that challenges expectations—something unexpected, memorable, and delightfully idiosyncratic.
