About This Whisky

The Magnus Experiments is a 16-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from an undisclosed distillery in Orkney. The Orkney 16 Year Old Cask Noir “The Magnus Experiments” is a limited-release, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022. Matured in a first-fill bourbon hogshead, it was bottled without chill-filtration or added coloring. With only 288 bottles made, it’s a rich, smoky, and complex dram featuring smoky, creamy, and sweet-spicy layers, culminating in a long, salty, maritime finish.
