Port Charlotte is ranked among the three Bruichladdich brands as one of the most heavily Peated. The 9-year cask; #3404 from 2008-2018 was bottled at a cask Strength of 64.2% . The distillation took place in a first fill bourbon barrel. The Cask Exploration Series is regularly sold exclusively through the Bruichladdich Distillery Shop and is bottled by hand.   Nose: Heavily peated, strong, alcoholic Palate: coffee, dried fruits, again a lot of peat coming through Finish: Again very peaty, dry, coffee, spiced, will be appreciated by savvy whisky buyers
