The first distillery deemed worthy of using the 'Royal' title, Royal Brackla first got its own range of single malts in 2015. Part of the Last 'Great Malts' series, the 16 Year Old is finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks and is sweet and spicy, with a hint of smoke in the mix too.  

Whisky region: Highland

Nose: Warming, definite notes of spice with a citrus undertone. A hint of smoke, subtle yet distinct.

Palate: Fruity notes are prominent, regal prunes and sweetened figs. Presence of sherry and grain.

Finish: Medium, dry finish with an aftertaste of cocoa.
