Aged for nearly two decades, the whisky is drawn from a carefully curated selection of high-quality casks, mostly rich Spanish sherry butts that lend profound depth and complexity. This expression has been Bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered. The GlenAllachie Distillery, nestled at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Aberlour, has undergone a remarkable transformation. The distillery has embraced a meticulous approach to whisky production, including extended fermentation periods and careful cask selection, resulting in a portfolio of single malts celebrated for their depth and complexity. This expression stands as a testament to GlenAllachie's dedication to crafting exceptional single malts, offering whisky enthusiasts a rich and rewarding tasting experience. 

 

About Glenallachie

Glenallachie Distillery

In 1968 the distillery began its first production run. Glenallchie was the fourth distillery designed by William Delm-Evans and built by MacKinlay and McPherson (the distilling arm of Scottish and Newcastle ltd). It was designed to be almost entirely gravity-fed to run on reduced energy. In 2017 Billy Walker along with his business partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to acquire the distillery from Chivas brothers, bringing with them their industry expertise. In 2018 their first core range of single malts were launched, this marked the first-ever range of single malts to be released by the speyside distillery. In 2021 their master distiller Billy Walker was introduced into the Whisky's Magazine Prestigious Hall of Fame as he's made a lasting contribution to the world of whisky. In the same year, they also won the world's best single malt title at the World Whiskies Awards.
