About This Whisky

Ardbeg 33 Year Old 1991 Rare Reserve – Signatory Vintage | Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 52.6% ABV)

The Ardbeg Aged 33 Years 1991 Rare Reserve is an extraordinarily rare Islay single malt, independently bottled by Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland’s most respected cask selectors. Distilled in 1991 and aged for over three decades, this limited-edition expression is bottled at natural cask strength – 52.6% ABV – unchillfiltered and free from added colour, offering the purest form of mature Ardbeg.

Matured in carefully selected casks for 33 years, this release showcases the full complexity of long-aged Ardbeg: expect a beautifully balanced profile of earthy peat smoke, charcoal, sea spray, dried tropical fruits, and warming spice, layered with rich oak and maritime salinity.

Bottled in 2024 and presented in a luxurious Signatory decanter with individual bottle numbers, the 1991 Ardbeg 33 Year Old is one of the rarest independently bottled Ardbeg expressions available on the market today.

About Ardbeg

Ardbeg Distillery

Ardbeg is one of the most famous whisky distilleries in the world, and for good reason. The Ardbeg distillery produces some of the finest single malt whisky around and has been doing so for centuries.
The Ardbeg distillery is located on the island of Islay, off the coast of Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1815 by John McDougall and has been in operation ever since. Ardbeg whisky is renowned for its smoky flavor, which comes from the peat that is used to smoke the barley during the whisky-making process.

Ardbeg lies solitary, in a small cove off the south coast of Islay.
