This small batch release of 10 year old Bowmore Devil's Cask was matured in first fill sherry casks. Released in October 2013, all 6000 bottles quickly sold out and remains a highly sought after bottle. The legendary peated spirit combines with luscious sweet sherry for a fantastic dram.   Nose: Fairly faint hint of peat. Strong sherry mixed with herbs and medicine. A bit of chocolatey note. Water pushes the peat further into the background (but not out of the picture entirely) and accentuates the cherry cough drop notes. Taste: Very mellow. Sweet and smoke.  Finish: Smoky.  Herbal cough medicine flavoured with artificial cherry. Smoke and peat are most prominent here. With water the smoke becomes a bit drier.
