After a quarter of a century in a cask, most whiskies tend to fair well. This 25 year old Bowmore single malt whisky is no exception and it is a stunning example of what time and wood can create. Very complex exhibiting delicious toffee and hazelnut, bound together by sweet peat smoke. Worth every penny. Nose: Gentle peat, orange peel with sherry tones and vanilla. Palate: Light sherry tones mingle with gentle salty smoke. Finish: Long, sweet and bit fruity.
