Bruichladdich Octomore 5 Year Old Edition 02.1 Whisky is a drink of peat, peat and more peat. Bottled at 62.5%, this one is surely an explosion for the tastebuds and aimed at the savvy whisky drinker. Are you brave enough to face the peat? NOSE: Highly peated nose, however this becomes more gentle as time passes. PALATE: very peated, iodine notes come and go a touch of myrtle and birch. FINISH: Phenomenal finish. Crashes onto the palate like a huge tidal wave of smoke. Pure Islay character and very, very long!
