About This Whisky

Coleburn 21 Year Old Rare Malt Selection, is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled at natural cask strength. Distilled in 1979 and bottled in October 2000 under Diagio's Rare Malt Selection. The Rare Malts Selection was created in 1995, aimed initially at the duty free market. However the range became available to specialist whisky retailers. This particular dram is all the more precious for having come from a distillery closed in 1985.

About Coleburn

Coleburn Distillery

Coleburn Distillery is one of the many Speyside distilleries that didn’t manage to survive. It was mothballed in 1985 and since the equipment was dismantled and the buildings sold there is less chance that we will ever see a Coleburn Distillery revival – nevertheless Diageo is still the owner of the brand Coleburn.
