The GlenAllachie Distillery – Premium Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie Distillery is located near Aberlour in the heart of Scotland's world-famous Speyside whisky region.

The distillery entered an exciting new chapter in 2017 when it was acquired by a consortium led by renowned whisky maker Billy Walker, whose extensive experience and passion for Scotch whisky helped establish The GlenAllachie as one of the most highly regarded independent single malt producers.

Under Billy Walker's leadership, the distillery has developed a reputation for its exceptional wood management programme, focusing on the selection, monitoring and maturation of whisky in carefully chosen oak casks.

This dedication to maturation has become a defining characteristic of The GlenAllachie single malt whisky range, particularly through its acclaimed single-cask and limited-edition bottlings.

Today, The GlenAllachie is celebrated by whisky enthusiasts worldwide for producing richly flavoured Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, with each individual cask offering a unique expression of the distillery's character.

A 2011 Vintage GlenAllachie Single Cask – Matured for 14 Years

The GlenAllachie 14 Year Old 2011 Single Cask showcases the individuality and complexity that make single-cask Scotch whisky so desirable.

Distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years, this expression has developed its character through prolonged interaction with its individual maturation cask.

Bottled at 53.8% ABV, it offers a robust and concentrated single malt experience, allowing whisky enthusiasts to appreciate the depth and character of mature Speyside whisky.

Single-cask Scotch whisky releases are particularly interesting because every cask develops differently over time. Variations in oak type, previous cask contents and maturation conditions can create distinctive aromas, flavours and textures, even among whiskies produced at the same distillery and distilled in the same year.

For enthusiasts of GlenAllachie vintage whisky, single-cask Speyside whisky and high-strength single malt Scotch, this expression provides an opportunity to explore the individuality of a carefully matured 2011 vintage.

About Glenallachie

Glenallachie Distillery

In 1968 the distillery began its first production run. Glenallchie was the fourth distillery designed by William Delm-Evans and built by MacKinlay and McPherson (the distilling arm of Scottish and Newcastle ltd). It was designed to be almost entirely gravity-fed to run on reduced energy. In 2017 Billy Walker along with his business partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to acquire the distillery from Chivas brothers, bringing with them their industry expertise. In 2018 their first core range of single malts were launched, this marked the first-ever range of single malts to be released by the speyside distillery. In 2021 their master distiller Billy Walker was introduced into the Whisky's Magazine Prestigious Hall of Fame as he's made a lasting contribution to the world of whisky. In the same year, they also won the world's best single malt title at the World Whiskies Awards.
