About This Whisky

Glendullan 23-Year-Old 1972 Rare Single Malts were distilled between the late 60’s and early 80’s maturing for at least 18 years each and some even reaching 30 years. Due to the great success of this, an annual release was formed, aptly named “Special Releases” in 2001. Distilleries on that list include Benrinnes, Brora, Linkwood & Teaninich. Glendullan's 23rd year is one of the more rare releases in this series and was distilled in 1972.

About Glendullan

Glendullan Distillery

The distillery started life in 1897 when it was built by the Aberdeen blender and broker William Williams who had also signed an exclusivity deal with nearby Glenfiddich. Williams merged with Greenlees Brothers and was absorbed within DCL in 1925. A second distillery was built next door in 1972 and run in tandem with the original site. In 1985, the original plant was closed and ‘Glendullan 2’ now provides liquid for blends and the Singleton of Glendullan brand which was launched in 2007 as an exclusive for the North American market.
Glendullan is a large single malt distillery located in the famous whisky town of Dufftown within the Speyside region of Scotland. The name means 'valley of the standing stone or rock' in Gaelic.
A bioplant, which processes the spent lees, was opened on-site in 2014.
