Lagavulin’s 2017 release is 16 years old and has been double matured in Moscatel Wood. Each cask was hand selected by Iain MacArthur. Sold exclusively at Lagavulin distillery each limited bottle is individually numbered and only 6000 were made. Nose: Orchard fruits with white pepper note, pecans with earthy digestive biscuit base, mossy peat, pudding wine grapes and sultana Palate: Pepper, lime, more ripe orchard fruits and sweet wine. Waxy citrus and some spicy. A little smoke! Finish: Pepper again, with toffee! Long and smooth finish!
