This is the Lagavulin Fèis Ìle 2016 release - an 18 year old single taken from European oak ex-bodega Sherry butts and refill American oak hogsheads chosen by Iain McArthur. 2016 saw the Lagavulin distillery celebrate their 200th anniversary, as is noted on the label of this collectable bottle.

Whisky region: Islay

Nose: Campfires, lemon, citrus

Palate: furniture polish, lemon, orange, grapefruit, malty, oaky

Finish: Strong finish, long and ashy. Very well balanced and almost refreshing.
