Phraya Gold Thai Rum (Deep Matured Gold) is a premium sipping rum with a rich, exotic flavour profile inspired by Thai artistry and the four elements. It’s smooth and balanced, with layers of vanilla‑honey sweetness, tropical fruit, and delicate spice. This luxury Thai rum was produced by SangSom Distillery in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, aged between 7 and 12 years in flaming American oak barrels using a climate‑adapted “deep maturation” process.

Sangsom Distillery

Founded in 1977, SangSom Distillery (SangSom Co., Ltd.) is one of Thailand’s oldest and most prominent distilleries. It’s located in Nakhon Pathom Province, near Bangkok, covering a large industrial site of over 200 rai with thousands of employees. Locally, SangSom is frequently referred to as “Thai whiskey”, although it is technically a rum. The term "whiskey" is commonly used in Thailand to mean any amber-coloured spirit. In 2011, SangSom expanded its portfolio by launching the premium Phraya line, crafted with “deep maturation” in lagoon-adjacent warehouses. This innovation reflects the distillery’s commitment to blending tradition with modern quality techniques.
