About This Whisky

Cardhu's 16-Year-Old Four Corners Of Scotland Collection is a limited edition single malt whisky from Cardhu Distillery, part of Diageo’s Four Corners of Scotland series. Bottled at an intense ABV of 58.2%, this series celebrates the distinct characteristics of Scotland’s whisky regions and the Cardhu 16-Year-Old represents the Speyside region, renowned for its smooth, fruity, and often elegant style of whisky. This whisky has been aged in a combination of oak casks, allowing the maturation to develop a rich, layered complexity. The oak adds both spice and woodiness, while the spirit retains its typical Speyside fruitiness.

About Cardhu

Cardhu Distillery

Cardhu was established in 1824 by John and Helen Cumming. It originally started as a small illicit distillery, as many of the early Scottish distilleries did. When it became legal, it grew in reputation and size.
Over the years, the distillery has passed through several hands. In 1893, it was acquired by John Walker & Sons, which later became part of Diageo, one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the world. Today, Cardhu is part of Diageo’s extensive whisky portfolio.
Cardhu is an important whisky, not only because of its individual qualities but also due to its role in the broader history of Scotch whisky. It was one of the first distilleries to be legally licensed in the early 19th century, helping set the standard for many others. Moreover, it was an essential component in the famous Johnnie Walker blends.
