Nikka Single Cask Coffey Malt 1998 - Cask #100645

From a Private Collection: Sealed with Parafilm to secure Seal.Nikka operates two Coffey stills (named after its inventor, Aeneas Coffey) within the Miyagikyo distillery, for the refinement of its grain whiskies. Imported from Scotland in 1963, these old stills yield a distillate, with more flavour and depth than modern column stills. This gives it a profile between grain and malt whisky,  imparting a recognisable character that defines the house blends.
