About This Whisky

Roku Japanese Craft Gin – 70cl 43%

Roku Japanese Craft Gin is a premium Japanese gin from the House of Suntory, expertly crafted using a distinctive combination of traditional gin botanicals and six uniquely Japanese botanicals. Bottled at 43% ABV and presented in Roku's instantly recognisable hexagonal bottle, this elegant craft gin offers a beautifully balanced combination of citrus, floral, herbal and subtly spicy flavours.

The name Roku means "six" in Japanese, referring to the six Japanese botanicals at the heart of the recipe: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper.

Each botanical is harvested at the optimum point in its season to capture its individual aroma and flavour. These Japanese ingredients are combined with traditional gin botanicals, including juniper, coriander, angelica root, angelica seed, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peel and lemon peel.

The result is a refined and exceptionally versatile Japanese craft gin, combining classic juniper with vibrant yuzu citrus, delicate cherry blossom, aromatic green tea and a gently spicy sansho pepper finish.

Whether served as a classic Roku Gin & Tonic, enjoyed in a Martini or used in premium cocktails, Roku is an excellent choice for gin enthusiasts looking to discover the distinctive character of Japanese gin.

About Roku Gin

Roku Gin is produced by Suntory, one of Japan's most celebrated drinks companies and the name behind internationally renowned Japanese spirits and whiskies.

Drawing upon decades of distilling expertise, Suntory created Roku to showcase the beauty of Japan's four seasons through carefully selected native botanicals.

The distinctive hexagonal bottle represents the six Japanese botanicals used in the recipe, while the embossed botanical illustrations and traditional Japanese calligraphy reflect the craftsmanship and heritage behind the spirit.

Six Japanese Botanicals

The defining character of Roku Japanese Craft Gin comes from six botanicals sourced from Japan:

  • Sakura Flower – delicate floral character
  • Sakura Leaf – soft, aromatic complexity
  • Yuzu Peel – fresh and vibrant Japanese citrus
  • Sencha Tea – refreshing green tea notes
  • Gyokuro Tea – rich, elegant tea character
  • Sansho Pepper – distinctive Japanese pepper spice

These botanicals create Roku's signature combination of floral aromas, refreshing citrus, green tea and gentle peppery spice.
