About This Whisky

Chapter 3 is the fiendish finale in Arran's Devil's Punchbowl trilogy which started in 2012 and ended in 2014. Chapter III has been matured in a combination of 21 casks; eight oloroso sherry casks, eight French oak casks and five bourbon casks. This final instalment is richer and spicier than the previous releases with layers of citrus and caramel accompanied by light smoke and sherry notes. Only 6660 bottles were released, a fitting number chosen by Arran, making this is a very limited edition dram.

Nose: Fresh lemon and orange and plenty of spice

Palate: Plenty of body, rich sherry and caramel sweetness, dark chocolate with lighter smoke than Chapter II and then more spice and citrus.

Finish: A very long, slightly sweet, peppery and spicy finish
