The Bunnahabhain 23-year-old was Distilled in October  2001, matured for 23 years in a single Oloroso sherry butt and bottled in April 2025 at 59.5% ABV, non-chill-filtered and naturally coloured. Perfect for Fans of Bunnahabhain’s deeper sherry expressions and collectors of limited Symington’s Choice bottlings.

Bunnahabhain Distillery is a renowned Islay whisky distillery located on the remote north-east coast of the Isle of Islay, Scotland. Known for producing a distinctive style of unpeated (or lightly peated) Islay single malt Scotch whisky, Bunnahabhain stands apart from the island’s typically heavily peated whiskies.

Location

Bunnahabhain is situated near Port Askaig on the Isle of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Its coastal location influences the whisky with subtle maritime notes and a fresh sea-air character.

Founded: 1881

Built by the Islay Distillery Company

Designed to supply whisky for blending, particularly for blends like Black Bottle

Unlike many Islay distilleries, Bunnahabhain historically focused on producing unpeated whisky, making it unique within the region.
