About This Whisky

Tamdhu 21 Year Old Speyside Single malt is from the Tamdhu distillery, located in Knockando, Speyside—now owned by Ian Macleod Distillers. It is renowned for its exclusive use of Oloroso sherry cask maturation. Launched in May 2025, this is the oldest expression in Tamdhu’s core range. It is a limited, globally allocated annual release. Delivering depth, balance, and elegance, it's a celebration of Tamdhu’s Spain‑to‑Speyside journey. Expect a rich tapestry: dried fruit, festive spice, dark chocolate and oak flourish rounded by citrus vitality and lingering warmth.

About Tamdhu

Tamdhu Distillery

Situated at Knockando in the center of Speyside, Tamdhu Distillery managed to survive difficult years of economical ups and downs. This is due to the status of Tamdhu Whisky as a reliable component in the Blends of the Highland Distillers for years.
In 1949, Tamdhu introduced Saladin box maltings, making it among the few Scottish distilleries to malt all its own barley on site. In the early 1970s, Tamdhu expanded significantly, increasing stills from two to six between 1972 and 1975. It always was “The Can-Dhu-Spirit”. Since 2011 the distillery belongs to Ian Macleod Distillers who meanwhile started a revival of the brand and relaunched the Single Malt Tamdhu successfully.
